From classroom to virtual learning
Moving from Classroom Learning to Virtual Learning is not a cut and paste exercise. Using the same content and the same approach will fail to achieve the learning objectives.
For a successful transition, please see the IMS Virtual Learning Development Process
“Technology does nothing for learning. What technology does is take either a good learning solution or a bad learning solution and make it more affordable, more reliable, more available, more data rich and more personalized.”

Marketing Product Planning
Challenge:
A global pharmaceutical company was at a critical stage of planning a new product launch when Covid-19 restricted travel. Due to competition, it was critical to move fast.
Marketing teams comprised of 30 people in Europe and the US had originally planned to conduct a joint planning workshop in person. To stay on schedule, the workshop needed to be redesigned as a virtual workshop. Several key business decisions were planned based on market research for a complex product:
Target patient population
Product formulation and dosages options
Number of units per pack and starter packs
Environmental packaging
The Solution:
IMS was already engaged designing the live product launch planning workshop, which was originally scheduled as a 1 ½ day session. The virtual workshop was redesigned as a six-hour collaboration session. The virtual design included:
Prework including reading the Market Research Report and other related documents
The virtual workshop design agenda:
Plenary: Market Research Summary Report
Breakout Groups & Reports: Market Research Actionable Insights
Plenary: Competitive Landscape Overview
Breakout Groups & Reports: Competitors: Implications for Product Design
Breakout Groups & Reports: Evaluation of Alternate Scenarios
Plenary: Analysis and Summary
Final Report summarizing outcomes and next steps
IMS managed and executed the entire process including design, engagement, preparation and facilitation.
“ Great job today. This was an especially challenging workshop with lots of people and complex content. You guys made it look easy. Thanks!!”
